THE POWER OF DRY

Maintaining dry skin is crucial for peak performance during intense activities. When the body sweats during exercise, excess moisture can lead to discomfort, friction, and skin issues. Wet skin is prone to temperature fluctuations, causing clamminess and potential overheating. Additionally, it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, risking infections. Keeping skin dry isn’t just about comfort—it directly influences peak performance by minimizing friction, regulating temperature, and reducing health risks associated with prolonged moisture exposure.

In the pursuit of success, a dry skin strategy is not just a luxury but a necessity. It’s the key to unlocking your full potential, allowing you to focus on conquering challenges without the unnecessary distractions of discomfort or health concerns. So, embrace the dry and let it fuel your journey to peak performance.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

This is the skin side of a piece of fabric material that is 88% Polyester, 12% Spandex and 150gsm. The top half of the fabric has TurboDry technology. The bottom half does not. A straight line is formed where TurboDry® technology is embedded and water is being wicked to the other side of the fabric. Water remains on the lower half that would spread out against a persons skin.

THE SCIENCE

TurboDry’s revolutionary fabric features a patent-pending technology that leverages the science of contact angles and capillary action to naturally transport moisture away from your skin.

Balancing this specific criteria creates engineered moisture pulling mechanisms keeping moisture away from the skin. This is the TurboDry® difference.

A performance fabric that relies on fabric construction instead of chemicals to achieve superior drying results. Moisture transportation inherently built into each and every stitch.

FREE YOUR BODY FROM SWEAT

Trapped sweat can reduce comfort and affect performance by depleting the body of its energy. TurboDry® fabrics rapidly pull sweat away from your body for easier evaporation.

TAKING A DIFFERENT (SURFACE CONTACT) ANGLE

Carefully engineered the fabric contact angles create surface tension with the moisture on your skin as a first step to get sweat quickly started on its journey to the outer side of the fabric.

THE CAPILLARY EFFECT

Once the moisture is in motion, capillaries knit into the fabric structure continue pulling sweat away from the body. This phenomenon, a type of biomimicry, is how plants transport water from their roots to their leaves. It’s natural, physics-based technology that doesn’t rely on added chemicals.

RAPID MOISTURE REMOVAL

As surface tension and the capillary effect work together to draw sweat away from the body, the perspiration moves to the fabric exterior where the droplets spread over a larger space to optimize surface area and quicken the drying process.

DRYNESS = COMFORT

Traditional wicking fabrics soak both sides of the fabric equally, however TurboDry® fabrics are specially knitted to speed up moisture movement from the inside to the outside of the garment. This creates dryness next your skin for enhanced comfort and quicker drying.

A REVOLUTION IN DRYING TECHNOLOGY

Nature’s technology allows trees to move moisture from their roots, one way to their leaves. TurboDry® moisture transport mimics this action moving moisture for faster evaporation.

INDUSTRY BENCHMARK STUDY

TurboDry® fabrics outperforms other fabrics of similar fiber content, weight and construction. In this study, the moisture management performance of once of the leading athletic brands fabrics is compared to a similar TurboDry® construction. The fabrics used in this study are 88% Polyester, 12% Spandex and 150gsm.

ONE-WAY TRANSPORT

One Way Transport Capability (OWTC) is a measurement that compares the dryness on one side of a fabric versus the other. Higher OWTC equates to drier next to skin (aka feeling dry).

WICKING

Wicking measures the spread of moisture across a fabric. More wicking decreases the concentration of moisture build up and allows for quicker drying.

DRY TIME

Drying rate measure how quickly moisture evaporates from the fabric. Increasing dry rate helps minimize wetting out and ensure sustained comfort.
