SUSTAINABILITY

TurboDry® is manufactured in bluesign® and Oke-TEK® Standard 100 certified mills. In addition, TurboDry® fabrics do not rely on chemistry for wicking and often show increased performance over the life of the garment.

NATURE-INSPIRED INNOVATION

TurboDry® is not just a fabric; it’s a testament to the power of biomimicry. Inspired by the ingenious ways in which plants efficiently transport water from their roots to their leaves, our technology mimics nature’s brilliance. This natural, physics-based approach enables moisture to move unidirectionally, away from the skin, replicating the efficiency found in the organic world. By harnessing the principles of biomimicry, we have created a fabric that doesn’t compromise on performance while staying true to our commitment to the planet.

DURABLE PERFORMANCE

Unlike many traditional moisture-wicking materials, TurboDry® relies on the inherent properties of its fabric structure rather than wicking chemistry. We observe the performance increasing over the life of the fabric, ensure durability and comfort that does not come at the expense of the planet. Our commitment to this approach reflects our dedication to sustainability and the well-being of both our users and the Earth.

INDUSTRY STANDARD COMPARISON

Narrow Elastics
The narrow elastics good in the benchmark study consist of polyester, nylon and elastane.

ONE-WAY TRANSPORT

One Way Transport Capability (OWTC) is a measurement that compares the dryness on one side of a fabric versus the other. Higher OWTC equates to drier next to skin (aka feeling dry).

WICKING

Wicking measures the spread of moisture across a fabric. More wicking decreases the concentration of moisture build up and allows for quicker drying.

PROPRIETARY CAPILLARY TECHNOLOGY

At the heart of TurboDry’s sustainability is our proprietary capillary technology, intricately knit into the fabric structure. These capillaries act as nature-inspired conduits, continuously pulling sweat away from your body. By designing our fabric with these unique features, we’ve created a self-sustaining system that promotes efficient moisture movement without relying on environmentally harmful additives. TurboDry® is engineered to excel in performance while maintaining harmony with nature.

EARTH-FRIENDLY MANUFACTURING

Our responsibility extends beyond the product itself to the entire lifecycle, including manufacturing. TurboDry® is produced with a commitment to reducing environmental impact. From eco-conscious sourcing of materials to energy-efficient production processes, we strive to make choices that prioritize the health of our planet. We are constantly exploring ways to enhance our manufacturing practices, ensuring that TurboDry® not only performs exceptionally but also aligns with the principles of sustainability.
